It's the 10th day since my nose surgery!!!
It's been 10 days since my nose surgery!!

I had my nose bridge and tip done!!

First of all, the ladies at the desk and the nurses were all very kind and gentle, so I felt a bit more at ease when I lay down on the operating table.

It's only been 10 days, but I barely have any bruising, so I don't think I worried about when the bruises would go away haha. I had eye surgery 3 years ago, and it swelled a lot, and I couldn't take time off work, so I was really worried about swelling and bruising... to the point where I regretted it and felt stressed.

But here, only the cheek area around my nose had a slight bruise, and it seemed to disappear in about 5 days... Honestly, I didn't even pay attention to the bruising lololol. I wondered when it went away lololol. The swelling is still slightly present on my nose bridge, but it's going down rapidly day by day. I didn't even do the cold/hot compresses very diligently because of work lololol.

When it was swollen, I thought, 'Ah, I wish it was higher... what a shame,' but once the swelling went down, 'Whoa! lolololololol'.

Before the surgery, when viewed from the front, it didn't feel completely flat, so my mom told me not to do it, and my friends also told me not to, saying it was fine as is, but my side profile was just too flat, and my face lacked dimension, which was very stressful for me. I even deliberated for about 2 years before getting the surgery. I had such a hard time with my eye surgery, and this was different from eye surgery...

After the surgery, I felt a lot of heat, my heart was pounding like crazy, I thought it would hurt a lot even with a slight touch, and I had all sorts of thoughts and worries, but... What is this...? It's manageable...? That's what I thought haha. I only thought, 'Wow, this doesn't feel like my nose,' but it didn't really hurt when I touched it. However, sleeping is a bit of a struggle. I have to breathe only through my mouth, and since my mouth gets dry, I wake up periodically to drink water haha.

The director (surgeon) also continuously takes great care of me during every follow-up. This is truly amazing!!!! He's meticulous and thorough, so the incision site is clean, and he said the scar will disappear quickly!!

Hello ^^
Hello ^^

I’m Handa-aemi, and I had a very satisfying epicanthoplasty at Apex Plastic Surgery~

Due to genetics, I had epicanthal folds (Mongolian folds) that made my eyes look quite sharp and fierce.
You can also see the very prominent dark circles under my eyes, right?
I looked like a very tired person, haha.

I think it’s genetic ㅠㅠ because my second child, Dawon, also has dark circles under their eyes ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

I learned a lot during my consultation with the Director at Apex Plastic Surgery.

He told me that if the epicanthal folds were removed completely, my eyes would look like "Dreamland" (unnatural)...
So, after consulting with him, we decided to remove only a certain amount.
We also decided to fix the dark circles with under-eye fat repositioning.

To be honest... I also wanted to get a lower canthoplasty (mit-teu-im) ㅠㅠ
Because my eyes looked so fierce...

But I learned during the consultation with the Apex Director...

That the eyes naturally droop down as you get older...

He seems very ethical ^^
Both in his consultation and his surgical approach ^^

The first person I met during the consultation was Consultant Han-ui!

Her voice is still ringing in my ears, haha.
The reason I gave her one less star for her looks is because she said she’s getting her double eyelid surgery redone soon, haha.
Once she gets them redone, she’ll be a full five stars~

Here is the business card Consultant Han-ui gave me...
You can also find them at the front desk.
After my epicanthoplasty, I had something I was really curious about.
It was the weekend...

I couldn't wait and called...
She consulted with me so kindly, in such a sweet and professional voice.
Of course, she explained the parts I was curious about very well...

After meeting Consultant Han-ui,
I met Director Song Hyun-seok.

He recommended epicanthoplasty for eye shape correction.
He said that since my nose tip is a "box-type," just doing the tip would make my upper lip look much less recessed.
He also noted that my under-eye dark circles were very severe.

The Director even held his own nose to demonstrate and recreate the look for me, haha.
Perhaps because he’s a doctor, he had a serious "documentary style" without many jokes.
He was someone with very clear and refined speech.

After the consultation, I, Handa-aemi, booked the surgery right away ^^

If I didn't do it now while I had the mind to, I’d end up like my mom ㅠㅠ
As you age, the epicanthal folds and under-eye fat become like that... it's scary!

Let me start the story of my surgery at Apex!

Introducing the Apex Plastic Surgery waiting room~

The waiting room was very clean and well-organized.

That painting... it’s really fascinating.
In the photo, it just looks like a pink painting, right?
If you go for a consultation, take a look.
It’s truly amazing.

Right next to the waiting room is the place where I met Consultant Han-ui ^^

I can still smell the aroma of the coffee beans ^^

After being assigned a recovery room and changing my clothes,

I washed my face thoroughly before meeting the Director.
All the cleansing products are provided~
The water is warm and the pressure is great.

They also had towels neatly prepared.

Next, I met Director Song Hyun-seok again~
Even seeing him again, he is a very serious "documentary" Director, haha.

He checked my eye condition and started drawing.

Now~ shall we look at our "Red Pen" Director’s drawing skills? ㅋㅋㅋ

He checked how much of the epicanthal fold to open at the front of the eyes,
and confirmed the location for the fat repositioning to remove the dark circles under the eyes.

This is where the surgery takes place... *shivers*
Director, I’m counting on you! *shivers*

The recovery room that Han-ui herself guided me to ^^

This is where I rested after the surgery ^^
There was a heater on the right, and they had turned it on long before I arrived.
It was very cozy and warm, haha.

There is a bell connected to the front desk;
it made me feel so secure ^^

I’m the type of person who gets really bad swelling ㅠㅠ
When I got eyeliner tattoos, I swelled so much I could barely open my eyes.
But for the first day, that amount of swelling is really nothing, haha.

I’m also uploading comparison photos so you can see the before and after ^^
It changed a lot, right ^^?

After stitch removal:

After the stitches were removed and everything settled:

I’m now a "Handa-aemi" housewife who looks somewhat decent, haha.

A bit of the epicanthal fold remains, but the epicanthoplasty is very dramatic, right ^^?
And the dark circles under my eyes are gone!
Most of all, after the epicanthoplasty, the distance between my eyes narrowed slightly, which made the area between my nose and eyes narrower, giving the effect of my nose bridge looking a bit higher when viewed from the front!

Thank you to everyone in the Apex Plastic Surgery family ^^

Thank you for being so kind,
Thank you for treating me with sincerity,
And since I have keloid-prone skin that scars easily, thank you for generously giving me regeneration injections and laser treatments... ㅠㅠ
When I said I couldn't buy scar ointment, you told me I must apply it because of my skin type and just gave me the hospital's ointment for free... I felt bad but so grateful...
Thank you for smiling and adjusting the schedule when I called suddenly as a busy working mom.
And thank you to the surgical manager who even called to check if I liked the results and if I was managing well, even after confirming the surgery went well.

Most of all, thank you so much to Director Song Hyun-seok of Apex Plastic Surgery for performing the surgery so beautifully and with such care ^^

I was moved by the quote on the waiting room door about becoming a doctor who heals the patient's heart.

Director ^^ You are handsome! ㅋㅋㅋ

If I decide to do something else next time, haha,
See you again, Apex~

I'll be 37 after this year. T_T
I’ll be 37 once this year passes. T_T
Personally, from the moment I was born until now, I have never once touched my face with anything related to "plastic surgery," whether it be a surgical operation or a minor procedure.

Unless you are a celebrity or a broadcaster, I believe the general sentiment in our country is still that for men my age who are working professionals—especially those who are the breadwinners of a household with children—grooming one's face through plastic surgery or procedures is still considered something close to a "luxury."

On the other hand, while living in society, I have also felt deeply that the lookist concept of "appearance is competitiveness" is by no means an empty statement.

Even if the government implements many restrictive measures to curb and guard against this social climate of prioritizing superior looks, I have felt that the reality is inevitably different.

I’m supposed to be posting a review, but here I am rambling about the bitter climate of this look-oriented society~ ^^

The review starts now.

First of all, I am a 37-year-old male.
In the past, I had a face shape and appearance that wasn't as bad as you might think (^^), but as I aged, I began to feel that my face was becoming asymmetrical at some point.

When I look in the mirror, it seems okay, but when I see photos or videos of myself taken unintentionally, my right cheek looks significantly more swollen than my left.
Since that look wasn't exactly pleasant to see, I found myself losing confidence in my appearance and becoming increasingly withdrawn.

Is this excessive self-deprecation?
Absolutely not. I think any man or woman in the same situation as me would relate, even if they don't show it.

It’s not about fixing a tiny blemish on the face; it’s a case where a specific area looks physically abnormal compared to an average, healthy person.

In my case, I often heard people say things like,
"Your right face is swollen. Did someone hit you? Is something wrong?"
Hearing it once or twice is fine, but hearing it repeatedly became annoying and made my confidence disappear.

For a while, I used massage devices and creams from the internet, and I even took the plunge and bought a monthly pass for facial meridian (kyung-rak) massages.

At the time, I psychologically felt like it was working,
but in the end, it took quite a while to realize that objectively, it had no effect.

I tried to lose facial fat through dieting and exercise,
but the asymmetrical shape of my face didn't change much.
In fact, due to "eating light" and "excessive exercise," the elasticity of my skin sagged; while my facial contours became a bit more defined, I ended up looking more gaunt and sickly.

The biggest reason I hesitated to visit a plastic surgery clinic was the "cost,"
but when I calculated the money I had spent on online massage creams, devices, and offline skin shop meridian massages, I felt a sense of regret that I should have just used that money for a procedure instead of wasting time and money.

Also, it’s not an easy thing for a man to open the door and walk into a plastic surgery clinic.

My wife (she is 33) gave birth to our second child last November. Because she was breastfeeding, she kept eating healthy food and didn't manage her figure, so her weight increased to 70kg.

Why am I suddenly talking about my wife?
The reason I came to this hospital is that my wife recommended it.

My wife, who had gained quite a bit of weight, went to a local Oriental medicine clinic, paid about 1.8 million won, and lost about 15–20kg in 40–50 days.
It was a very expensive amount, but we thought it was an unavoidable choice for her to return to normal social activities, and now that we've seen the results, we are both satisfied.

But the problem was her face. Facial fat doesn't go away easily.
Personally, I found that the hardest areas to lose fat while dieting were the face and the belly.

About a month ago, my wife came to this very clinic and got a lifting treatment.
It’s an ultrasound laser lifting called Ultra-Formo.
She said she got a discount because the clinic was having an opening event. She said she also got Botox.

My wife’s face has changed beyond recognition.
On the day of the procedure, it didn't look much different, so I asked her if she actually got it done properly.
She said the effect appears 2–3 months later, so I chuckled to myself and scoffed, asking what basis she had to believe in an effect that shows up months later.

Now, my wife’s round facial contours have been almost restored to how they were when she was single.
This is how my wife looks now. (I am posting this photo with her consent.)

Seeing my wife transformed like this (no, "restored" would be a more accurate expression), I decided to trust it for once.
Yesterday, December 23, 2014, two days before Christmas, I decided to get the Ultra-Formo lifting at Apex Plastic Surgery instead of a Christmas gift and visited the clinic.
I agreed to receive the event benefits on the condition of posting a "sincere review" on this message board...

I can really write a sincere review, right?

Since it was a clinic recommended by my wife, I had trust,
but since the price was still significant, I searched a lot for "Ultra-Formo" on Naver and Daum.
To be honest, the event price here isn't significantly cheaper than events at other clinics.
It’s about in the middle?

However, I realized there is a price difference between clinics where a board-certified plastic surgeon treats you and clinics with non-specialists (I learned for the first time that non-specialists who only have a medical license are called GPs).

I thought any place with a "Plastic Surgery" sign had a board-certified specialist,
but it turns out you can open a plastic surgery practice with just a medical license.
(Non-specialists cannot put "OOO Plastic Surgery" on their sign; they must write "OOO Clinic, Department: Plastic Surgery.")

Actually, I did want to get the procedure at a cheaper place,
but I felt I couldn't leave this "ugly face"—which I consider so important for social life—to just anyone, so I opened the door to Apex Plastic Surgery.

This is the view of the clinic.
When I tried to take a photo of the interior, everyone was suddenly startled.
So I said, "Don't I need to post photos of the clinic to write a review later?"
But they discouraged me, saying I didn't need to do it like a professional blogger...

They told me it was fine to just write a few lines of an honest review.
However, it is my belief and principle to keep a promise when I receive a benefit!
The moment I lifted my phone camera, everyone disappeared from the frame with lightning speed...

I was surprised that the clinic was right there as soon as I stepped out of the elevator, but personally, I am very satisfied with the interior design.

On the other side, there are operating rooms and procedure rooms, but since I am a layman when it comes to interior design, all I can say is that it looks good.

I also had a consultation with the board-certified plastic surgeon, Chief Director Song Hyun-seok.
I asked for his permission to take just one photo,

and he kept saying I didn't have to lol. But I took it anyway.
Since this is a sincere review, I’ll be honest: this photo of Director Song is 100% staged.
I was dying of laughter while taking it.

When else would I be able to tell a doctor, "Please take this pose~ take that pose~" as much as I want?
But the Director's acting skills are truly terrible. lol.
Even during the consultation, he didn't use a single "salesy" or "hooking" comment.
Is it because I was just a lifting patient?

He’s handsome, has a down-to-earth personality, and seems a bit shy?
I came for a simple lifting, but just in case, I consulted him about everything I had been curious about, so the consultation lasted 40–50 minutes.
There were about three people waiting behind me,
and I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to them.

And I want to thank the Director once again.
My questions must have been the same cliché ones he hears every day, but he explained everything step by step, so I found myself immersed in his explanations,
and one question kept leading to another.
Thanks to him, I acquired a lot of information and knowledge about plastic surgery.
Actually, I secretly recorded some of it. (I'm saying this because it's a sincere review.)

Following the Director's advice, I will seriously consider getting epicanthoplasty and lateral canthoplasty soon.

Actually, my wife said it hurt a lot when she got Ultra-Formo,
so I kept asking the Director to make it painless.

They applied a generous amount of numbing cream to my face.

"Oho~ Does it not hurt if I get this?"

The Director said nonchalantly,

"No, it will hurt. We just do this for you anyway. Since the laser is fired inside the skin, there is some pain, and this only has a very slight effect. But if we fire it directly on bare skin, the patient feels more pain due to anxiety... There is an effect because there is pain. If there's no pain, there's no effect."

"Gasp! Then please do it under sleep anesthesia!"

"The pain isn't enough to require sleep anesthesia. It’s just a bit of a strong stinging."

Before starting the procedure, I took a selfie of my face.

Looking at the photo, the right cheek is definitely quite swollen.

Haha, he applied the problematic (not very effective) numbing cream to my face himself.

Perhaps because I was so tense about the pain, my fists were clenched tight once I sat on the treatment chair.
But the pain wasn't as bad as I had feared.
Is it because I have a lot of cheek fat?

He said the pain would be more intense when the laser passed over the cheekbones or jawline,
but I felt confident that I could handle this level of pain 100 more times.

I even wondered if the stage of pain the doctor mentioned hadn't arrived yet,
but from my perspective, the Ultra-Formo lifting was just a "slightly stronger version of stinging."
I think I only winced about twice.

As soon as it was over, I sent a KakaoTalk message to my wife saying, "It didn't hurt as much as I thought?"

When I asked if he had lowered the intensity on purpose because he was worried I'd be in pain,
the Director immediately fired the laser at a transparent plastic case right there!
(With a slightly shady, mischievous smile... lol)
The plastic panel was pierced by the laser.
That’s what he was firing at my face. lol.

This is 100% my face. lol. It didn't hurt as much as I thought, so I even had the composure to take a photo of the procedure with my phone camera during the treatment...
Usually, this procedure takes about 15 minutes, but I think I received it for almost 30 minutes.

This is how I looked right after the procedure.

They said the effect would appear in 2–3 months,
but even immediately after the procedure, I was quite surprised by the effect because my asymmetrical face felt neatly organized and balanced.

I sent the "immediately after" photo to my wife, and she said she could see a certain level of difference compared to before.

To be honest, I had some anxiety and doubts,
but in terms of cost-effectiveness, I felt that this procedure suited me best compared to all the methods I had tried before.

Because of me, the waiting time for the customers behind me was delayed a lot, so I just said a quick goodbye to the Director. I went back to the desk to pay,

and since I was satisfied with today's service, I tried to pay in cash.
But the person at the desk said I could use a "credit card."
I said, "Since you gave me a discount and took care of me for so long, wouldn't it be better to pay in cash?"
They replied that it was a normal promotional discount and that they have to report all taxes anyway even if they take cash, so I should do whatever is convenient for me.

This is my first time writing this kind of post, and it turned out to be very long.

Today, I feel a very high level of satisfaction with the Ultra-Formo lifting I received.
I truly, sincerely thank Director Song Hyun-seok of Apex Plastic Surgery.

It is true that I used to think all plastic surgeons were just money-hungry businessmen,
but what I felt visiting this place today was the feeling of being at a "hospital where there is a doctor."

This concludes my review.
PS -> I put a lot of effort into writing this. If I make a big decision and come back for another surgery next time, I hope you'll take good care of me.

It’s already been 3 months since my surgery. I looked into so many hospitals, visited them, and had consultations... but I wasn't really drawn to any of them. My conviction to get surgery was only 50/50 because I was worried and scared about potential side effects if something went wrong. Then, I saw an acquaintance after a long time, and oh my gosh, she had become so pretty and looked so much younger. It was that natural, sophisticated look I wanted—not overdone. ㅠㅠ The power of plastic surgery, indeed lol. In that moment, I was 100% sure I wanted to get it done there too. I guess I couldn't help myself lol. Being the impatient person I am, I asked her right away, made a phone consultation appointment, and went to the hospital the very next day~ While I was waiting, the manager and the staff took such kind care of me. I'm so grateful ^^♡ The head doctor also made a great first impression; he gave a meticulous consultation and explained everything in detail, which was quite different from other places. I went home, couldn't sleep all day, and after much deliberation, I decided to go for it. A few days later, lying on the operating table, I was shaking like crazy and terrified. I'm usually bold, but I was so scared and my heart was racing. I honestly just wished they would put me under general anesthesia quickly. At that moment, the manager warmly and tightly held my hand. I was so moved T_T Even while I was on the table, the doctor kept coming in to check meticulously on how to make me look prettier before leaving. He was so cool ^^♡ The surgery started, and when I opened my eyes, it was all over. I have many friends who've had surgery, and they said it would hurt and there would be severe bruising, but what?! It only hurt on the day of the surgery; by the second day, there was barely any pain or bruising. My friends were shocked when they saw me. As expected!! Every time I went for follow-up treatment, they were so thorough and took such good care of me. Maybe that's why my face looked so clean despite having had surgery lol. So now, it turned out exactly as I wanted—natural, sophisticated, and so pretty. I'm living happily with a pretty face and a happy heart. And one more great thing: I work as a public figure, and I'm getting so many more bookings now. It feels like I'm living a second life. I don't know, I might even become a star at this rate~~ ^-^ Feeling proud. Thanks to the doctor and the hospital staff, I'm living a much more wonderful life. Thank you so, so much. I love you guys ♡

Hump Nose ㅋㅋ
I was super stressed about my hooked nose. My profile looked like a witch's nose ㅜㅜ
But I was so scared of nose surgery that I really worried a lot.
And I didn't want an obvious nose job, so I went to a lot of consultations focusing on clinics that do natural surgeries.
After getting a consultation at Gangnam Seoyeon, I really trusted the director. The manager was also very kind and explained things well.
I was so, so satisfied when they said they could do it using only my cartilage without using silicone.
Surgery day, thump-thump... I was so nervous, but
I woke up after a short nap and the surgery was over.
I was so scared that it would hurt, but it was just stuffy to breathe and didn't hurt much, I think.
It was just a little uncomfortable to go around with something like plastic on my nose ㅋ
Some people went out and about just fine after surgery... but I just stayed home.
By the seventh day, it was a little swollen, but it was okay to walk around outside.
More than anything, it was so refreshing after taking off the plastic and band-aids on my nose.
It's almost been a month since the surgery.
My profile is amazing ㅋ I can't really tell from the front since my nose was already high,
but I'm very, very satisfied with my profile pictures.
My friends say it's not obvious and super natural. They're jealous ㅋㅋ
Thank you, Director~ ㅋㅋ

Buried Double Eyelid + Canthoplasty Review
I've been contemplating double eyelid surgery for 10 years and finally made up my mind to get consultations. I have monolids, but sometimes when I'm sleepy, I get these intense double eyelids. Plus, I use my forehead to open my eyes, so I get wrinkles easily ㅜㅠ. My eyelashes droop and frequently poke my eyeballs.

After four consultations, I decided to get surgery with Dr. Choi Dong-il at Gangnam Seoyeon, who first looked at the line I wanted and explained the surgery in a very pleasant way, giving me a sense of ease and confidence.

I wasn't as nervous as I thought I'd be, so I went onto the operating table as if I was going to sleep, and I was surprised at how quickly the surgery ended. Even while recovering in the recovery room, I looked in the mirror and was happy that there wasn't much swelling and it wasn't too gruesome.

It didn't hurt at all, and the only pain was a slight ache in the bruised area! For a week, I consistently went for walks three times a day and slept sitting in a chair, hoping the swelling would go down quickly. After removing the canthoplasty stitches, it already felt natural?? I felt like it was going the way I wanted it to go! ^^

I felt a bit anxious in the middle, so I contacted the clinic manager right away, and she kindly explained and informed me, which relieved my anxiety. Even after removing the stitches, I practiced opening my eyes frequently.

Lastly, here's a picture about a month out, with a slightly upturned look. I think the swelling will go down a bit more and it might become like this or even thinner ㅎㅎ. I'm really satisfied with the surgery results.

I don't look sleepy anymore, and my eyelashes are lifted so they don't poke my eyeballs anymore, which is so great!! ㅋㅋ T_T

Incisional Ptosis Correction, 4 Months Update
Ugh...
I went around Sinsa, Apgujeong, and Gangnam for consultations just to get double eyelid surgery. Thinking about it now... I really don't want to do that again.
I heard there were a lot of brokers, so I really picked and chose, and I think I went to about seven places.
But the last place I went to was Gangnam Seoyeon.
Every hospital said something different, and I was about to throw up.
At Gangnam Seoyeon, both the manager and the director explained everything I was curious about in detail.
The manager was so comfortable... (Actually, other hospitals just said pretty things... but it didn't really feel genuine... This manager is seriously the best)
The director is also subtly funny and cool, lol.
Some hospitals' directors are too authoritarian... and a bit scary to ask questions to, but
this director was friendly.
I'm so grateful that they made me feel so comfortable during the surgery.
It's been a little less than 4 months since the surgery... there's still a bit of swelling left... but the makeup looks amazing, hahaha.
I was so anxious the day before the surgery...
But I felt comfortable during the surgery too.
First of all, I'm so grateful that the surgery went well.
Well, have a good one~

Male Rhinoplasty Review
My nose was too big and blunt for my face, and it kept bothering me. Then, an acquaintance introduced me to Gangnam Seoyeon Plastic Surgery.
I searched through their website, blogs, and cafes a lot and had a consultation.
The clinic was clean and luxurious, and I trusted the consultation manager's friendliness and expertise even more.
I decided to get the rhinoplasty I'd always wanted.
I like the shape of my nose, and it looks natural, so I think I made a good decision to get the surgeryㅋㅋㅋ
My home is in the countryside, so it was hard to travel back and forth for surgery and treatment, but
the results are so satisfying that all the hardships I've been through feel like nothing.

I'm grateful to Dr. Choi Dong-il, who performed the surgery so well, and to the staff who were so kind to me during the pre- and post-operative treatment process~
Everyone thinks it's originally my nose unless I tell them I had surgery ㅋㅋ
I'm also grateful for the friendly and kind treatment I received every time I went for treatment.
My sister has booked her surgery during her vacation, and I'll go with her then~

Honest Review of Incisional Ptosis Correction + Epicanthoplasty & Lateral & Lower Canthoplasty!!
Hi everyone! I'm a college student who got incisional ptosis correction + epicanthoplasty & lateral & lower canthoplasty at Gangnam Seoyeon at the end of August, hehe.
I looked into ptosis correction surgery at like 5 hospitals because of my uneven eyes! Gangnam Seoyeon Plastic Surgery was the one I chose out of those, and I think it was a really excellent choice... First of all, I personally found the director's consultation trustworthy.
After the surgery, not only did my uneven eyes improve,
everyone keeps saying my eyes are so pretty and why didn't I get it done sooner, lololol.
My eyes also got bigger, and I love the double eyelid line!!!
I don't usually write reviews, but I wanted to write one, hehehehehehe.
Anyway, I really, really love it, hehe.
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!
